CYCLING AND HIKING

The Orlice Mountains and the surrounding area also offer numerous sports and leisure activities in the summer. The area surrounding the cottage is made for bike rides and hiking. There is a summer recreation centre less than a kilometre and a half from the cottage, where you will find two outdoor pools, a whirlpool, two toboggans, crazy golf, tennis courts and refreshments. The entire Zamberk district is interwoven with a series of cycle paths and signposted hiking trails.

HISTORY

If you are interested in learning something about the history of the region lying beneath the Orlice Mountains, you can set off along the old smuggler’s paths, visit the forts built before the Second World War, or visit some of the many museums in the area.

SWIMMING

If you are looking for natural swimming sites, then Bella Cottage is the ideal place for you. 7 kilometres away you will find the Pastviny reservoir, which is also a popular destination for holidaymakers.

GOLF

The golf enthusiasts among you will find what you are looking for in Hnatnice, 11 kilometres from Zamberk. There is a 250-metre driving range here, along with indoor tees and a training academy. If your heart is set on a golf course, then you can head for the new golf centre New America, which boasts the largest golf course in the Czech Republic and is famous for its luxury facilities. New America is around 70 kilometres from Zamberk in the direction of Jaromer.

Hunting

If you succumb to the magic of hunting, we can arrange entrance to hunting grounds rich in game, just a ten-minute drive from the cottage.

We will be delighted to welcome to Bella Cottage anyone who wants to spend some pleasant moments in the foothills of the Orlice Mountains, in both the summer and the winter. You can book the whole cottage or just part of it. Families with children are more than welcome, and you can even bring your canine friends with you. There are no restrictions as far as the length of your stay is concerned – we will be happy to meet your needs in full.

The surrounding countryside is literally made for photography workshops of various kinds. The diverse landscape of the Orlice Mountains, Zemská Brána (Earth Gate), the valley of the Divoká Orlice River and remote mountain villages with their original architecture are sure to delight and inspire many a photographer. All these interesting locations are easily accessible, even with bulky photographic equipment.
